Rabies Vaccination on Panggang Island Targets 151 Pets

The Seribu Islands Maritime, Agricultural, and Food Security Sub-agency (KPKP) held door-to-door rabies vaccination for 151 rabies-transmitted pets on Panggang Island, North Seribu Islands.

We also open it at the urban village office

Seribu Islands KPKP Sub-agency Head, Devi Lidya expressed that rabies vaccination targeting owned and non-owned pets was provided free of charge. It involved three veterinarians along with four paramedics.

"We also open it at the urban village office," she stated, Friday (9/15).

Jakarta Continues to Prevent Rabies-Transmitting Animal Bites

Of 151 pets, 68 were male cats and 83 were female cats. Her party also sterilized 251 cats in the yard of Panggang Island Urban Village Office.

"We're grateful that residents are increasingly enthusiastic about bringing their pets for rabies vaccination," she uttered.

Panggang Island Urban Village Head, Muhammad Fakih Burhanudin supported vaccination and sterilization activities in his area. Moreover, it has been promoted via social media and in person.

"Hopefully, it can become a routine agenda every year," he hoped.
